DNA Paternity Test

A DNA paternity test is the most accurate means of knowing who the biological father of a child is. It can be done for both legal and personal reasons.

At homeDNAdirect Canada we offer you a DNA paternity test that is not only highly accurate but it is also affordable and easy to do. The cost of the home paternity test is $199.

Once we receive your order, the DNA test kit will be sent to you straight away and normally received within 2 working days. In your kit you will find sterile oral swabs to collect your saliva sample from the comfort of your own home. You will also find clear instructions to help you in collecting your DNA samples and the required submission forms which you will need to fill in for us. Results are normally received within 5 to 7 working days from when we receive the samples at the laboratory.

Depending on your requirements, the paternity test you need to choose may differ. The following is a list of tests we offer:

  • Home paternity test - (a test done in the comfort of your home in which you are responsible for collecting your samples).
  • Legal paternity DNA test - (this will provide you with court admissible results and requires a different procedure to the peace of mind test).
  • Express Paternity test - (we offer results in only 2 working days).
  • Immigration Paternity testing - (in cases where one needs to prove they have a child or father living in another country who wishes to immigrate into another non-native country).
  • Discreet paternity testing - (this test is done when people wish to use a sample that is not saliva e.g. hair, toothbrush, semen etc).
  • Infidelity DNA Testing - (to prove the presence of male/female biological sample on suspicious items).

Home Paternity Test

For those having doubts regarding paternity but do not require the result for legal purposes, then the test to opt for is the at home paternity test. This test cannot be admissible in court as it does not follow the strict chain of custody required in a legal test. With this test, you collect your own samples using our DNA test kit from the comfort of your own residence.

The sampling procedure is simple and painless and highly reliable. A DNA paternity test is often done without the mother’s samples and it is still conclusive. However, where possible, we suggest sending in the mother’s samples for testing as this will help determine her exact share in the genetic inheritance of the child and strengthen the result.

For your peace of mind all tests are carried out on a 16 genetic marker basis by our ISO17025 accredtied laboratory with extensive experience in the field of DNA testing.

Our DNA Paternity Test for father and child is only $199 and you can Order Here.

The Paternity Testing Process Explained

When the laboratories receive your DNA samples they will examine your DNA profile with specific focus on 16 genetic markers. They will then statistically analyze the makers and compare each marker with the participants in the test. A father and his biological child will have identical markers, if there are markers which do not match than it means that the tested father is not the child’s paternal father.

The paternity test results will also display the percentage inclusion for paternity of 99.99% in cases where the test is done including the mother’s samples. If the mother’s samples are not included then you can still expect an inclusion rate 99.9%. If the alleged father is not the child’s biological father you results will show a 0% probability of inclusion.
